Somos is highly dedicated to shaping legislative policy on a local, state and federal level to ensure the full needs of the transition to clean energy are supported. We believe that the new era of clean power generation requires reasoned public policy.
Somos Solar has been active in governmental affairs on all legislative and regulatory issues that impact the renewable energy and decarbonization industries of New Mexico. We have worked with legislators, governmental leaders and been active in business and environmental coalitions. Somos Solar’s registered lobbyist at the New Mexico legislature has over 25 years of legal and legislative experience at the federal, state and local levels. Somos Solar is positively shaping public policy for renewable energy in New Mexico.
Somos is a proud and active member of the Renewable Energy Information Association of New Mexico (REIA), an industry solar trade association leader, the New Mexico Solar Energy Association (NMSEA), the Santa Fe Green Chamber of Commerce, and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of New Mexico.
