About Somos Solar
Somos is a turnkey renewable energy solutions developer. Our turnkey solutions include project financing, power purchase agreements, project development, engineering, procurement and construction company. Founded by locals who were both born and raised in Santa Fe New Mexico, we soon realized the clean energy deficit is a much larger problem and one primarily driven by commercial and industrial properties. In 2022, Somos Solar pivoted away from the residential market and began focusing solely on commercial, industrial and utility scale renewable energy projects.
Somos accepts the challenge of climate change and the critical needs of the energy transition. We stand at the forefront of the clean energy production and decarbonization revolution by being open to any and every possible energy transition project. We believe that Somos is the most innovative and impactful renewable energy company in New Mexico.
We focus on social, as well as environmental, impact in every project we develop. Somos looks at economic development and lasting community impact with our project design. We go beyond prevailing wages to train and employ local workers, hire apprentices, and work with our partners in organized labor to ensure skilled workers are supported, employed, and respected as we deploy the latest energy technologies. As a company, we include social impact in our bottom-lines, and contribute a percentage of our annual profits to local charities.

We believe in education, about solar products and energy consumption, so we have started offering free energy analysis to help find solutions to reduce energy usage.
Energy Audits & Consultation
We believe in a more efficient and sustainable future, and that starts with education. Somos has now started offering free energy audits where we look at your power usage and see if there are any ways to integrate clean energy or reduce the amount of energy you use, saving you money and the planet.
We Follow Through
We are committed to our customers, and it shows. We will follow up with those who purchase solar by conducting annual check-ups on your system, which includes cleaning and verifying your system is producing at optimal capacity.
